The imbalance between emblems is quite silly

The complains about no customization and Surestrike being overpowered is getting silly at this point, it is an issue that has been in the game since emblems first were added more or less, and just got more apparent with the addition of Surestrike, lets just look at what DPS increase or other boons all the relevant emblems offer.

 

All in all, Arcane/Martial Emblem and Surestrike Emblem form their own teir, more than trippeling the power of every other Emblem in the endgame, and Arcane and Martial Emblem also sports the absolutely lowest cost of all emblems, which brings me to my point of this post, redundancy. In the games current state there is no reason whatsoever except if you are currently playing a Revenant, to not have either Arcane or Martial emblem slotted in any situation where your damage stat matters, doing sky dungeons as Fae doesn't count, your damage number there is completely irrelevant. 

So in other words, we have a emblem that is constantly occupying one of our two emblem slots, and there is no incentive in the game whatsoever to ever replace it, since it is sporting the best damage increase in the game. Yes, it can outperform Surestrike if you have any CH rolled on your gear and run FT/IS/SH/GS.

 

I would like a change of this, the current model is stale and means all but 4 Emblems are useless for combat in their current state. Where Chronomatic is used on a class that don't use their Damage stat for most damage, and the other one is used on tanks for lifesteal before they have the gear to go without it.

 

The two ways to go about it as far as I can see is to either to heavily nerf Arcane/Martial Emblem (I am talking a 70-80% or so reduction) or outright remove them, and reduce enemy HP and Revenant scaling to compensate.

The second way is to instead buff the other emblems to be about on par with Arcane/Martial, for example, Berserker Emblem could increase your attackspeed with 125% instead of giving you a flat +50. Or Zealous could in addition to maxing your energy, make abilities not cost any energy for ~2 seconds (Haven't done the math here, and to lazy to do it 4 am). However, the Chronomatic Emblem would show problematic with this approach, making me believe that the current Arcane and Martial Emblem are a tad too good.

 

We could also compare the prices, Arcane/Martial costs 750 Credits. Given the price on Fragments of Wonder, Surestrike is worth about 1 radiant item (135k Trove Flux), and we know that a radiant costs 30€ in the shop, which buys us the 3250 Credit bundle 1.5 times, which is 4875 Credits, 6.5 times the price of Surestrike, in cubits this equals 42250(6500*6.5), lets say 42k to make things easier. Given this silly high price, Surestrike should very much be a mandatory lategame emblem, Arcane/Martial, at 6.5k, should not.

 

 

"Perfect" gear assumes you run Hat: CD/HP%/AS Weapon: CD/ER/AS Face: CD/Dmg/AS Ring: Dmg/ER and a +20% Dmg Ally, unless noted otherwise.

Stats include all dragon ascensions and mastery buffs.

 

Arcane/Martial Emblem Doubles Magic/Physical damage for 8 seconds.

DPS with no gear: +100%

DPS with perfect gear: +100%

Cost: 6500 Cubits

 

Zealous Emblem Restores all spent energy.

DPS with no gear: +246% over 1 second, +92% over 5 seconds (Ice Sage)

DPS with perfect gear: +46% over 1 second, +24% over 5 seconds (Ice Sage)

Cost: 6500 Cubits

 

Chronomatic Emblem Reduces all cooldowns with 7 seconds

DPS with no gear: +30% DPS (Fae Trickster ult, if you have a better way to calculate this, please let me know)

DPS with perfect gear: +<30% (You lose more AA time at this point)

Cost: 10'000 Cubits

 

Berserker Emblem +50 Attack speed, +40 Movementspeed for 5 seconds.

DPS with no gear: +50% (AA only, suits Fae Trickster)

DPS with perfect gear: +28.1% (AA only, suits Fae Trickster)

Cost: 10'000 Cubits

 

Surestrike Emblem 

DPS with no gear: Normal: +57%, PC: +103%, FT/SH/IS/GS: +53%

DPS with perfect gear: Normal: +129%, PC: +172%, FT/SH/IS/GS: +114%

Cost: 275 Fragments of Wonder

R4PG How To Get Trove Flux - Prowling Shadow

Hey all, So with all these new things coming to trove that are highly impossible for me to get the way intended, I need lots of flux to buy them (mounts, pets). Sadly the only way of flux farming I have right now is farming U5 dungeons, racking in 12 flux per item, but it takes a long time to conjure up enough for a mount such as the pinata (not the autumn one, like I'll ever get 12k lol) from what I know they sell from 2k-3k flux, while digglsy is 1-1.5k, and samantha is 3.5k? Just wanting to know if there is a faster way to gain flux. Thanks!
