Trove loot metrics Don't zerg group the U6
First off, when zerging U6 you are loosing out of 6200f per challenge timer.
And it tallies up fast if you zerg constantly.
So I get hassled, named called, joinme spammed constantly as I solo or small group u6 challenges. The biomes are large, plenty for everyone, I try to get out of the big groups path, and when it's all done and the big group ports out, there are left over dungeons that they don't bother with, so it's not like I robbed them of their precious challenge points. But yet I'm worthy of that harassment because I'm not a follower when it affects my loot.
I explain I don't want a big group because I like loot, they say it doesn't matter and continue, even going so far as to herd towards me even though its out of their path. So I tallied my loot and neon cache over 11 challenges.
I run with 531 magic find
Gear drops average value when broken down come to 151f ea. I ran each on the challenge bonus class.
Challenge 1: (1 boss)will see on average 2 drops, so 302f loot value
Challenge 2: (1 boss, 2 total bosses)will see on average 2 drops, so 302f again for total 604f loot value
Challenge 3: (4 boss, 6 total bosses) will see on average 10 drops, so 1510f for total 2110f loot value
Here is where the loot shines:
Challenge 4: (11 boss, 17 total bosses) will see on average 27 drops, so 4077f for total 6192f loot value
My sample 11 runs did not have any s4+ drops, I usually see 1-3 a day so they were being shy, so the loot value average has not big ticket value drops.
Chests on the other hand, I had a penta and several 3 coin drops. So over the 11 challenges, the average loot value from cache's do see the big ticket items affecting them.
Average looted value from a neon chest (95) was 902f
Challenge 1: 2 cache for 1804 total value
Challenge 2: 2 cache for 1804, total value 3610f
Challenge 3: 3 cache for 2707, total value 6318f
Challenge 4: 3 cache for 2707, total value 9026f
So what does that all mean?
You can zerg, and just get caches for 9000f value per challenge event.
Or you can small group, and get 15000f value (caches 9000f + loot 6200f)
Ready for the big numbers?
11 challenge runs doing all 300 as zerg with no loot: 99,289f
11 challenges runs doing all 300 as small group with loot: 167,406f (99.2k + 68.1k)
Loosing out of 68k Trove Flux would really bother me if I ran with the zerg group.
Loot is all RNG so my next 11 could see entirely different values.
I think gear drops have bottom averaged for the most part, I'd like to see a s4+ drop to liven up the data set.
The last 3-4 challenge timers saw one or two medium ticket items from caches so its been a steady drop in average value,
*numbers are rounded from my notebook so don't heckle over small tally variances.
Number of Ideas for Trove
Still gives the 10% bonus and caps at 2 for each stat. It is up to the Devs on if this can grant rings/banners an extra stat. Sounds like it might be OP, but Trove flux sinks always help the economy.
Best ways for newbies to earn trove flux
I think someone said they earn tons of flux doing challenges but I only ever get 500 trove flux at most by opening the dragon caches and 600 flux at most by selling them. That is still only 2400 flux max per challenge! Soooo anyways
How to multibox Trove
I guess the same scenario could be said for gold/trove flux farmer workshops and perhaps Troves has measures set up to combat scenarios like that?
