Note: This is my opinion, surprisingly enough.
I don't understand why the devs don't just scrap the dumb idea of Challenges in the first place. Do you not see the amount of problems it created? Or are you just so focused on the idea of making Trove like the other failed Trion titles (*cough* Archage - Rift *cough*) that you're totally forgetting the social aspect of the game?
I've said it before and I'll say it again : Challenges are dumb.
I'm not usually the one to rant unless it really gets to the point where I can't have fun anymore, and it's true, I literally can't have fun anymore. The whole Dragons Ascension idea is perfectly fine, but the way you get them isn't.
Challenges raised the prices of everything in the game from Day One, making it so that you have to complete Challenges to keep up with the economy. Look at costumes for example - they used to be around 5k trove flux more or less, but now they're at around 30k (or more) due to the trove flux influx. That is insane.
You also need a lot of flux for gear. If you don't have good gear, you can't complete as many challenges as you can, meaning less rewards for you. How is this whole system even fun? What's with all the stupid grinding for gear and rewards?
Not to mention how new players below mastery 30 feel when everything's out of their reach in terms of prices. They can't do challenges so they don't have large amounts of flux to spend to help them in the game. How are they going to feel?
Ugh...You know what? I'm done beating a dead horse here with writing text walls about suggesting change because nobody listens.
Also not to mention that my endgame was also Building and Collecting things (much like Dusty's) which was almost ruined because I now cannot be sure that what I build will not be sucked into a void and disappear completely due to a database error.
