After the latest expansion of Morrowind brought us all back to the Black Marsh, Summerset has been announced and is set to come out this Spring. There's a lot included with the latest expansion, just like the last one, and it can be a bit difficult to wrap you head around everything they're going to be adding to the game, so here's a comprehensive article of some of the unknown extras of the new expansion that you should know about.

New Area of Summerset

First and foremost, you can actually play part of Summerset now, at least you can in some way. Via the in-game crown store, you can purchase a Mage's Message Stone for free and you can partake in a new prologue quest, all of which can be played before the expansion even releases. This quest is designed to give the player an excuse to try out some of the new area of Summerset, before all of it fully releases. This small tease is all player's have to look forward to, at least until the full release.

Summerset is home to the High Elves

Something that not everyone knows is that the new land of Summerset is home to the High Elves, a race that you're bound to be seeing a lot of when playing the Summerset expansion that is set to come out on the 21st May for PC and June 5th for Xbox One and PS4. Obviously, other than the new zone of Summerset, there are some epic new stories and quests to sink your teeth into and lose plenty of time with.

Summerset Isles

This time around, there's a new order by the name of the Psijic Order. As of the time writing they haven't revealed much or anything about this latest order, but they will be exclusive to the Summerset Isles it seems to be. In terms of new crafting options, you have the new jewellery crafting, which wasn't available until this latest update. With this, the Jewellery Crafting system will add six new traits, all the while making the Robust, Arcane, and Healthy traits researchable and craftable. The only new known trait, however, at the moment is Bloodthirsty – increases damage against enemies as their health decreases.

New bosses

A piece of information that late-game players are bound to enjoy is the new 12-man raid entering the game, all placed atop the highest peak of Summerset, within the city of Cloudrest. An ancient evil has awoken and infested the city, and only you can bring a stop to it! With this new evil comes 4 new challenges and depending on some of your choices throughout the raid, the final boss' difficulty can be changed accordingly to either be easier or more difficult. It's even been reported that these new bosses are going to require your team to work in "previously unheard-of levels of cooperation and coordination", so it means that you're going to need to work as a team in this one.

When the new expansion drops there's bound to be plenty to enjoy and appreciate with the new Summerset expansion and isn't to be missed if at all possible! Are you curious that what the new Summerset Expansion will bring to you?
